Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Biggest Ravana Dahan to Take Place in Pimple Saudagar
Pune: On Sat, October 12, 2024, at 6 p.m., the biggest Ravana Dahan event in Pimpri-Chinchwad will be held in Pimple Saudagar. Organized by former corporator Shatrughan Kate and Youth Foundation, the event is part of the Vijaya Dashami celebrations.
The programme will take place at Govind Yashda Chowk, near the Nexa Showroom in Pimple Saudagar. This year’s event will feature a 120-foot-tall Ravana effigy, crafted from bamboo, sticks, needles, cardboard, nails, and ropes. Attendees can expect a memorable experience with various activities and special guests.
Ravana Dahan, a Dussehra tradition, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The event serves as a reminder to eradicate negative qualities such as deceit and malice within ourselves.
