Mumbai: The Marathi film and theatre community is mourning the loss of acclaimed actor Atul Parchure, who passed away at the age of 57. He had recently overcome a battle with cancer, during which he faced numerous challenges. Parchure was a versatile talent, leaving a significant impact in theatre, film, and television.

Notably, Parchure was celebrated for his portrayal of P. L. Deshpande in various television series. His acclaimed performance in the play Naatigoti, alongside esteemed actors Dilip Prabhavalkar and Rima Lagoo, is still fondly remembered. He captivated audiences with his roles in popular Marathi plays, including Vasuchi Sasu, Priyatama, and Tarun Turk Mhatara Ark.

In addition to his theatre work, Atul Parchure made notable appearances in Hindi films such as Salaam-E-Ishq, Partner, All the Best: Fun Begins, Khata Meetha, and Buddha Hoga Tera Baap.
