Pune: A break-in at the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Sangamwadi led to the theft of two CCTV cameras and a router from the learning licence department on Monday. The incident occurred while the office was closed for two days due to a public holiday, giving the burglars an opportunity to strike despite the premises being under surveillance.

The theft took place in the department’s computer lab, housed in a shed near the RTO’s boundary wall. The culprits reportedly entered the lab through the roof, making away with the stolen electronic equipment.

The Pune regional transport office is now lodging a police complaint regarding the incident.
