Maharashtra Elections: 14,000 Campaign Materials Removed from Govt Properties in Pune Within 24 Hours of Code Enforcement
Pune, Oct 17: Within the first 24 hours of the Model Code of Conduct being enforced for the upcoming assembly elections in Pune on October 15, the district administration swiftly removed a total of 14,542 campaign materials from government buildings and premises. This action, taken across all constituencies, included the removal of posters, banners, wall paintings, flags, and other promotional items, according to Jyoti Kadam, Deputy District Collector and Coordinator of the Code of Conduct Cell.
The breakdown of removed materials by constituency includes: Junnar (1,169), Ambegaon (1,430), Khed Alandi (1,446), Shirur (569), Daund (1,530), Indapur (828), Baramati (890), Purandar (1,966), Bhor (155), Maval (1,154), Chinchwad (1,007), Pimpri (38), Vadgaon Sheri (158), Bhosari (653), Shivajinagar (148), Kothrud (185), Khadakwasla (567), Parvati (245), Hadapsar (238), Pune Cantonment (91), and Kasba Peth (75).
Among the materials removed were 1,986 wall writings, 3,685 posters, 1,647 hoardings, 2,795 banners, 1,430 flags, and 2,999 other items.
