The Nationalist Congress Party, NCP, has announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, with party leader Ajit Pawar confirmed to contest from the family stronghold of Baramati. The NCP, which is contesting in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP, and Shiv Sena, is preparing for the elections to be held on November 20, Voting will take place across all 288 constituencies in a single phase, with results expected on November 23. Ajit Pawar’s candidacy from Baramati, a seat long associated with his family, is seen as a key highlight of NCP’s election strategy.

The list also mentions names of Chetan Tupe from Hadapsar constituency and Anna Bansode from Pimpri constituency.
