Chikhli Poised for Transformation: BJP MLA Mahesh Landge Leads Ambitious Development Projects

The real transformation of Chikhli, which was included in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in 1997, began after 2014. The area is now witnessing the development of key projects like Santipeeth, Police Commissionerate, Judicial Complex, and Samvidhan Building. With these advancements, Chikhli is set to become the ‘Heart of the City’ in the coming years, according to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge.

For a long period between 1997 and 2014, the villages included in the Bhosari constituency remained underdeveloped. However, after the BJP came to power in 2014, the region attracted significant funding. Landge expressed confidence that with the continued cooperation of citizens, this wave of development would persist.

Mahesh Landge, the official candidate of the Mahayuti alliance from Bhosari constituency, began his election campaign by offering prayers at the Ganesh temple in Talegaon, Chikhli. Local citizens, villagers, and party workers were present at the event.

During the campaign, MLA Landge said, “Before contesting the 2014 assembly elections, I presented the ‘Vision 20-20’ to the people of Bhosari to address the backlog of delayed development projects. I have made efforts to fulfill the promises, including ensuring clean and regular water supply to the newly incorporated villages. Through the Bhama Askhed project, additional water is now available to the city. Several key projects, such as roads, educational facilities, and a multipurpose hospital, are on the horizon. Notably, India’s first Samvidhan Bhavan, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, Judicial Complex, and the Chikhli Water Purification Center for the Andra and Bhama Askhed projects are all being developed in this area.”

MLA Mahesh Landge also addressed the issue of roads, stating that several roads in the Chikhli area are nearing completion. He urged the villagers to come together and take the initiative for places where roads are still needed. “If villagers provide land through negotiations, I will ensure the completion of these roads. Opponents deliberately obstruct land allocation and falsely accuse us of failing to complete road projects, but the villagers are well aware of the truth,” he added.

“From 2014 to 2024, a comparative study of the Bhosari Assembly constituency reveals that the majority of funds, projects, and development work have been directed toward this region. Although several villages were incorporated into the Bhosari constituency in 1997, they remained deprived of development, even basic amenities like water. However, after 2014, real progress began, and I am committed to ensuring sustainable development for these villages in the future,” said Mahesh Landge
