'Devara' OTT Release: Junior NTR's Action-Packed Drama Hits On This OTT Platform Soon
After a stellar theatrical run, fans of Telugu superstar Jr NTR can now enjoy Devara: Part 1 from the comfort of their homes. The highly anticipated film, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, is set to release on Netflix on November 8.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 earned an impressive ₹420.75 crore worldwide, but due to its high budget, it couldn’t be classified as a box office hit despite its strong earnings.
Nevertheless, the film’s action sequences, VFX and Jr NTR’s dual performance have been widely praised. Devara follows the story of Devara Rao, who takes up his late father’s mission to combat smuggling in their coastal village, facing off against his father’s nemesis, Bhaira, played by Saif Ali Khan. Jr NTR delivers a gripping performance in a double role as both father and son, adding to the film’s dramatic impact.
Released in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, the film saw a blockbuster opening but struggled to maintain its momentum over time. Still, with a total collection of ₹291.25 crore in India across all languages, the movie has had a significant run.
