Lawrence Bishnoi's brother faces legal action for allegedly threatening the leader of Bhim Sena
Gurugram Police has filed charges against gangster Anmol Bishnoi, sibling of Lawrence Bishnoi, for reportedly issuing threats to Bhim Sena leader Satpal Tanwar from overseas. A police officer has confirmed the same.
Anmol faces allegations of placing threatening calls from the US and Canada, utilizing phone numbers registered in Zimbabwe and Kenya.
Bhim Sena leader Satpal Tanwar reported receiving multiple threatening calls from Anmol Bishnoi on October 30, during which Bishnoi allegedly threatened to cut him into pieces. The total duration of these calls was 6 minutes and 41 seconds, and they were answered by Tanwar’s secretary. Anmol Bishnoi is reportedly in hiding in the United States, with a reward of ₹ 10 lakh offered for information that leads to his arrest, as announced by the National Investigation Agency.
A dedicated task force has been established, comprising members from the STF and multiple crime and cybercrime units, to carry out a more thorough investigation. Authorities revealed that after receiving notifications from US officials regarding Anmol’s location, the Mumbai Police have initiated the extradition process.
Anmol Bishnoi, facing a minimum of 18 criminal charges, escaped India last year with a forged passport and is thought to be living in Canada.
Anmol, the younger sibling of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is now facing increased attention after his inclusion on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list. In early October, authorities declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information that could assist in his capture.
