Since being incorporated into the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the issues of Charholi were long ignored. Residents believe that those who neglected these problems have no moral right to seek votes here. However, significant development in Charholi began under the leadership of MLA Mahesh Landge. Determined to acknowledge his contributions, residents of Charholi have resolved to give Landge the highest margin of votes in the constituency, expressing confidence that he will win a third term with a bigger majority than ever.
Mahesh Landge, the official BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP-RPI alliance candidate for the Bhosari Assembly constituency, recently met with residents of Charholi. These interactions covered areas such as Datta Nagar, Kalibhint, Vadmukhwadi, Gavthan, Jagtap Vasti, Shivnagar, Sant Rohidas Nagar, and Kumbhar Galli. Accompanying him were alliance leaders, party workers, villagers, and housing society members.
Development Under Landge’s Leadership
The inclusion of villages like Charholi in PCMC initially failed to bring the expected benefits, leaving these areas without basic infrastructure. However, after Landge became an MLA, he prioritized the development of newly incorporated villages. His leadership ensured that the BJP gained power in PCMC in 2017, paving the way for accelerated progress. This included appointing leaders like Nitin Kalje and Rahul Jadhav as mayors, further boosting development efforts. Residents expressed their gratitude, noting that Landge addressed long-standing infrastructural deficits.
A Transformation in Incorporated Villages
The once-neglected villages have now undergone a complete transformation. Modern infrastructure and prominent housing projects have redefined Charholi, giving it a distinct identity on the city map. Residents credit this turnaround solely to Landge’s leadership, firmly vowing their unwavering support for his re-election.
