A video showcasing a boss’s response to an employee’s resignation has made a significant impact on the social media landscape. The video has garnered more than 4.4 million views and has struck a chord with many online.
Simi recently posted a video on Instagram featuring her heartfelt discussion with her boss, highlighting how her resignation went exceptionally well.
In the video, Simi informs her manager about her decision to resign, and the manager responds with encouragement. “Congratulations!” her manager exclaims.
“You’re probably a little bit nervous because it is always nerve wracking to tell the person you’re working with that you’re leaving and it’s just like all these big emotions at once. It’s really like such a wonderful experience for me to have to work with you,” the manager says further.
“This was honestly a very difficult post for me cause I don’t like to share my emotional side on social media, but at the same time, I really wanted to share how amazing this woman has been and what a great manager looks like.I have never met anyone like her and I really learnt how important it is to have a good manager, if you know me personally, you know I’ve always mentioned how great my manager is, and this clip is the perfect way to show what a beautiful heart she has,” says Simi.
The touching video elicited a range of responses from users on social media. One user added, “This video needs to be played during corporate leadership courses/workshops on how to manage staff.” “What an absolute green flag manager! I love everything about this. No mention of HR etc, just support and respect,” says yet another comment. “This is the nicest interaction I’ve heard between an employee and a manager! I would cry too. I’ve had to leave a nice manager like that. She’s rarer than a diamond, “ says the other user.
