Pune: Over 1,700 Applicants Submit Deposits For Affordable Flats Under PMRDA Scheme

Pune/Pimpri, November 28: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has launched a lottery for its remaining affordable housing units under the “Houses for All” scheme in Peth Numbers 12, 30, and 32. The initiative has garnered significant interest, with nearly 1,717 applicants submitting their deposit amounts so far. Citizens have until Saturday, November 30, 2024, to apply for the scheme.
The project includes flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in the following categories:
- Peth No. 12:
- EWS Category (1 BHK): 47 flats
- LIG Category (2 BHK): 614 flats
- Peth Nos. 30-32:
- EWS Category (1 RK): 347 flats
- LIG Category (1 BHK): 329 flats
In total, 1,337 flats are available through the lottery. Applications for these flats began on October 12, 2024, and as of Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 3 PM, 4,861 citizens had registered on the official portal. Of these, 1,717 applicants have already paid their deposit amounts, said Dr. Dnyaneshwar Bhale, Public Relations Officer, PMRDA.
PMRDA has urged eligible citizens to apply online before the deadline at https://housing.pmrda.gov.in. Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase emphasized the importance of acting quickly to secure an opportunity under this scheme.
