Fans were curious about Mamta Kulkarni’s whereabouts just as her film ‘Karan Arjun’ re-released in cinemas on November 22. She’s been out of the spotlight for so long, and no one really knew what she was up to. Turns out, she was living abroad. But now, after 25 years, Mamta is finally back in Mumbai. This comeback follows her recent legal victory, as her name was under scrutiny in connection with a huge Rs 2000 crore drug haul case from Thane in 2016.
Recently, the Bombay High Court canceled the FIR against her related to that case. She’s back in her home country after this win and even shared a video on social media, expressing her gratitude for returning home and getting a bit emotional about it.
She captioned her video, “

The actress expressed her overwhelming emotions in a video upon returning to India, particularly to ‘Aamchi Mumbai.’ She shared that as her flight was about to land and she caught a glimpse of her country from above, she felt a wave of emotion. Walking out of the International airport also brought tears to her eyes. She stated, “After two decades, I stand on the soil where I grew up, loved, and built my dreams. Mumbai has changed, but its spirit remains eternal. It feels surreal to be back home.”
Making her acting debut with “Tirangaa” in 1992, she quickly gained fame for her bold and glamorous performances in films like “Karan Arjun” and “Sabse Bada Khiladi.” However, her career faced challenges in the early 2000s due to a shift towards more controversial roles. Despite this, she remains active on social media, keeping her fans updated about her return to India. Fans are now eagerly anticipating her next movie, especially with the buzz surrounding the re-release of “Karan Arjun”!
