National Voters’ Day to be observed on January 25

Pune district Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh informed that as per the announcement made by the Election Commission of India January 25 shall be observed as National Voters’ Day. 
On this occasion a small program shall be held at Hall no 2, C Wing, Collectors Office at 4 pm. 

This day shall be observed on all 21 Legislative Assembly and all polling booths. 
This year’s theme for the voters day is Making our Voters Empowered, Vigilant, Safe and Informed. This is the 11 th National Voters’Day, informed Deputy District Election officer Mrinalini Sawant. 
On this day, all voters inclusive of women, youth, differently abled, senior citizens, defence personnel, non resident indians. 

New voters shall receive their voting cards and these shall be distributed to them on this day. Also all the deserving officers, staff shall be presented with an appreciation certificate. To ensure that voters get their voters card at the earliest the Election Commission of India has introduced an online facility. An initiative of e EPIC card Hua digital’ आणि ‘click par EPIC’ have been initiated. In the first phase from January 25-31, 2021 those who have registered on January 1,2021 shall be able to download E Epic.
