The 18th Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival (KVIFF) is all set to take place virtually from January 7 to 10, 2025. This pioneering festival, initiated 17 years ago by Kirloskar and the Vasundhara Club, is India’s only event dedicated to exploring nature and addressing pressing environmental issues.

The four-day festival will be broadcast online, making it accessible to a wider audience. This year’s theme, ‘Nutritious Food, Flourishing Nature, and Healthy Society,’ highlights the need for sustainable practices in the wake of Covid-19.

The festival will cover a wide range of topics, including sustainable food production methods, biodiversity, ecosystems, and the health of society. Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of millets, which were proposed by the Indian government to the United Nations as the focus for the International Year of Millets in 2023.

In addition to the virtual festival, KVIFF 2025 will also be organized offline in 20 Indian cities. A highlight of the festival includes the ‘Best of Sanctuary Asia’ photography exhibition, showcasing stunning wildlife imagery from India’s premier nature magazine.

The festival is expected to attract environmental enthusiasts, filmmakers, and experts from around the world. With its focus on sustainable living and environmental conservation, KVIFF 2025 is an event not to be missed.
