Sen, a marketing expert was thriving in his career when his life took a shocking twist at the age of 32, as he received a cancer diagnosis. What started as an ordinary workday rapidly transformed into a critical moment when he began to vomit blood during a meeting.

The subsequent medical reports painted a bleak picture, with doctors estimating he had just 100 days left to live. After enjoying a life filled with promotions and successes, he found himself confronting an overwhelming obstacle.

He expressed that informing his family and friends was among the most challenging aspects, particularly as he was residing in the USA and had to depend on phone calls to convey his situation. At times, he found himself feeling so overwhelmed that engaging in conversation became difficult.

A significant turning point occurred during a discussion with his young daughter, who inquired, “Dad, are you going to die? Will you be present at my wedding?” These poignant questions rekindled his resolve. He shifted his attention towards adopting healthier habits, diligently followed his medical regimen, and committed all his resources to his treatment.

However, my friends & the staff at the hospital became my biggest support. They would say, ‘How’s our future cancer winner doing today?’ Then as the 100th day came closer, I was actually becoming better. Through those days, I started writing books, talked to people & started spending time with my loved ones. And years later, Shoojit Sircar approached me to make a movie about my life. At first, I was skeptical. But when my daughter said, ‘Dad, you need to talk about it,’ ‘It will help others.’ I said yes,” says his Instagram post.

Arjun has emerged victorious over cancer more than 25 years after his diagnosis. He has written several books and has openly shared his experiences to inspire others who are confronting similar obstacles. His remarkable life story served as the inspiration for the film I Want to Talk, featuring Abhishek Bachchan.
