Sukumar’s directorial Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun is making history at Box Office. Running successfully in theatres, netizens are eagerly waiting for it to be released on OTT platforms. Rumours of releasing it on Netflix by the end of January made the expectations of fans rise higher. Amid this speculation, the makers confirmed that the sequel of the Pushpa series would be available on the OTT platform 56 days after its theatrical release.
According to the makers’ announcement, Pushpa 2: The Rule could be streaming on Netflix from January 30 or 31. However, neither the filmmakers nor Netflix has given any statement or confirmation of the release. While there’s no official confirmation yet, many are hopeful that the streaming platform may offer additional content or scenes.
Furthermore, on December 20, the production house behind Pushpa 2: The Rule, Mythri Movie Makers, officially confirmed that audiences will not be able to enjoy Pushpa 2 on OTT for at least 56 days of the release. To watch their superstar, they will have to go to theatres as of now. The rumours spread like wildfire, and the production house said, “There are rumours floating around about the OTT release of #Pushpa2TheRule. Pushpa 2: The Rule saw Allu Arjun reliving his iconic role as Pushparaj, expanding his empire as the head of a red sandalwood syndicate, around the globe. The film captivated audiences with intense scenes between Pushparaj and Fahadh Faasil’s character, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, as well as the return of Daali Dhananjaya’s Jaali Reddy, making Pushpa 2 a fitting sequel.
The film concluded with a stage set for Pushpa 3: The Rampage. However, director Sukumar is still working on the script, waiting for the audience to drop their jaws.
