In a shocking incident, a lady talking on a mobile phone and carrying a baby fell into a manhole raising concerns over safety. People are also blaming the excessive use of mobile phones as a reason for the incident. The incident happened in Faridabad.
Technology has no doubt served mankind to the best. But excessive use of everything has severe effects. In the now viral video, it can be seen that a lady, dressed in a salwar suit is walking while talking on the phone. She is also carrying a baby in her arms completely unaware of her surroundings. It can be seen how she gets imbalanced and falls into the manhole along with her baby.
As soon as the passersby saw this, they came to rescue the lady and the baby. A man identified as Lakhwinder descended into the manhole and rescued both. First, the baby was rescued and then the lady was pulled out. Thankfully, no one suffered any injuries.

After rescuing, the local residents also covered the manhole. The residents said that the manhole was left open for many days. They had made complaints regarding it but no action was taken. This video has opened a debate among people now. Some are complaining about the mobile addiction and the carelessness of the lady, while some are pin-pointing to the lethargic attitude of the administration.
