Mumbai Man Rides 1,500 km on Scooter to Prayagraj for Mahakumbh After Failing to Get Train Ticket
On Monday, thousands of devotees reached Prayagraj to take a dip in the holy waters during Mahakumbh. Among them is Gaurav Suryakant Rana, a man from Mumbai, who is traveling on his scooter to take a holy dip.
Rane said he was determined to attend the Mahakumbh but found no train tickets available. Flight tickets were too expensive, so he decided to ride solo on his scooter. On January 26, he set off for Prayagraj, carrying his belongings. His scooter has a “Mumbai to Maha Kumbh” sign at the back.
Following a mapped route, Rane is traveling through Nashik, Ujjain, Jhansi, Banda, and Chitrakoot. On Saturday, he reached Banda. He has already covered 1,500 km and prefers traveling during the day, stopping by 9 PM. He stays wherever he finds shelter, be it a hotel or dharamshala.
During his journey, Rane visited Omkareshwar, Ujjain’s Mahakal temple, and Kaal Bhairav Maharaj. He said, “This journey is giving me a new experience in life.”
After taking the Basant Panchami Snan, Rane will return to Mumbai on his scooter. His unique journey is gaining attention on social media.
