People often underestimate the advice that can come from the most unexpected places. It encourages us to pause and reflect on our priorities, reminding us that taking a moment to enjoy life can make a significant impact. Sometimes, the most valuable insights come when we least expect them, prompting us to think deeply about what truly matters.

This is exactly what happened to a woman in Mumbai who received “nice grounding advice” from a coconut seller after she asked him to hurry because her Uber was on the way.

User Gargi shared, “I told the guy to cut my coconut quickly since my Uber was coming, and he casually replied, ‘Why are you making so much money? Work will always be there, but you should take time for food and drink.’ That was some nice grounding advice.” She also posted a picture of the coconut she purchased from the seller.

One person commented, “Uber driver would have surely waited for 2-3 mins… so there wasn’t any hurry actually.”

Another user pointed out that the seller was offering “₹10 lakh advice” for free along with a coconut that probably costs just ₹50. Another user commented, “Who will tell him that this amount isn’t enough? Those who earn more than this can only afford the luxury of time.” A third user simply stated, “Solid advice, in my opinion.”

Additionally, one user shared their experience of eating lunch late in an auto on the way home from work when the auto driver told them, “Forget about work; if we are here, work will happen,” which made them reflect on life. Another user mentioned “coconut wale bhaiya ka advice accha laga par parents dege woh nahi.” (That they liked the advice from the coconut seller but felt they wouldn’t get the same from their parents.)
