Pune: In a shocking incident, a Class 12 student jumped from the second floor of an examination hall, allegedly due to exam stress. The incident took place on Tuesday at an exam center in Narhe, Pune, shortly after the English paper of the Maharashtra State Board exams began.
A flying squad from the education department was present at the center when the incident occurred.
Police were immediately informed and reached the spot. The injured student was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed that the student was struggling with exam-related stress, which led to this drastic step.
The Maharashtra State Board, along with the education department and district administration, had implemented strict measures this year to prevent malpractices in exams.
