The most recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 began with host Amitabh Bachchan conducting the fastest finger first round, where Chandni Choudhary secured a spot in the hot seat. An introductory video showcased her journey, revealing that she is a student at FMS in Delhi and a Bronze Medalist from the 2023 Cyclethon. She is on the show to gather funds for her startup ‘Saarthi’. As the game progresses, one of the questions for Rs 3000 that Chandni encounters is about the dish ‘tehri’, which belongs to Awadhi cuisine and is linked to which state. The contestant correctly answers Option A) Uttar Pradesh. Amitabh elaborates on the answer, mentioning that tehri is quite similar to Biryani but is prepared in a different way. He also shares that he once enjoyed ‘Tehri’ but has now chosen to stop eating it.
In the conversation, she mentioned, “There’s no specific reason; I just felt like not eating rice one day.” Chandni then shared that rice is her favorite food. She recalled telling an interviewer about this, but the interviewer seemed to disapprove of her preference. Mr. Bachchan and Chandni discussed their love for eating rice with their hands. They said, “Par haanth se joh khake mazaa aata hai woh, kahin aur nahi aata, chawal-dal, usko mila karke kha liya.”
Mr. Bachchan is impressed by her initiative and praises her. With a bit of humor, he asks her how she would use an app if he wanted to get his house cleaned. When the contestant explains the process, Big B jokingly asks Chandni if she’s from Uttar Pradesh and what ‘safai’ means there. He humorously suggests, “Aake humari ghar ki safai kardo, leke sab humari ghar ki safai karke chala jaayegi.” This reaction makes the audience laugh. Chandni plans to invest the money she wins into her startup, aiming to win Rs 25,00,000. Impressed by her vision, Big B assures her that he will encourage people to support her startup.
Chandni faced the ‘Super Sawaal’ and correctly answered that the lead actress common to the films Lakshya and Veer-Zaara is Preity Zinta. As a result, she won the ‘Dugnastraa’ and took home a whopping Rs 50,00,000.
