NASHIK: An all-party action committee meeting was held on Tuesday, urging the government to approve a direct route for the proposed Nashik-Pune Semi High-Speed Railway.

The meeting saw the participation of key political figures, including Minister Manikrao Kokate, MLA Dilip Walse Patil, and MLA Amol Khatal, who attended in person. Several other MPs and MLAs joined virtually to discuss the pressing issue.

During the discussions, it was unanimously decided to seek an urgent meeting with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, within the week. Additionally, the committee plans to visit Delhi soon to push for the demand with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
