The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the results for the Chartered Accountants Intermediate and Foundation exams. Candidates who appeared for these exams can check their results on the official ICAI website, icai.nic.in, by entering their registration number and date of birth.

CA Intermediate and Foundation Exam Results

This year, 14.17% of candidates cleared the CA Inter Group 1 exam. Out of 1,08,187 candidates15,332 qualified. In Group 2, the pass percentage was 22.16%, with 17,813 candidates qualifying out of 80,368. For those who attempted both groups, the overall pass percentage was 14.05%, with only 6,781 candidates passing out of 48,261.

In the CA Intermediate exam, Deepanshi Agarwal from Hyderabad secured the top rank with 86.83%, followed by Thota Somanadh Seshadri Naidu from Vijaywada, who secured the second rank with 86%Sarthak Agarwal from Hathras came in third with 85.83%.

For the Foundation exam, the overall passing percentage was 21.52%, with male and female candidates recording an identical pass percentage of 21.27%.

  1. Visit icai.nic.in
  2. Click on the link for ‘ICAI CA Inter, Foundation Results’
  3. Enter the required credentials (registration number and date of birth)
  4. Click on ‘Submit’
  5. Your result will be displayed on the screen

Exam Dates and Qualification Criteria

The CA Intermediate exams were conducted from January 11 to 21, 2025, with Group 1 exams on January 11, 13, and 15, and Group 2 exams on January 17, 19, and 21. The CA Foundation exam was held on January 12, 14, 16, and 18.

To qualify for the Foundation exam, candidates need to secure a minimum of 40 marks in each subject and 50% aggregate marks. Those who score above 70% will receive a pass with distinction.
