Pune: Fire Destroys 150 Electric Two-Wheelers At Katraj-Gujarwadi Industrial Unit Â
A massive fire broke out at Bhushan Enterprises, an industrial unit in Sai Industrial Area, Katraj-Gujarwadi Road. The fire started around 4:08 PM, prompting a swift response from the fire department. Six fire tenders, including those from Gangadham, Katraj, Kondhwa Budruk, and PMRDA, along with three water tankers and ten private water tankers, were deployed to contain the blaze.
The factory housed materials used for manufacturing electric bikes, with an estimated 2,000 units worth of stock present. Unfortunately, around 150 partially assembled electric two-wheelers were destroyed in the fire. Despite the scale of the incident, there have been no reported injuries.
Firefighters are still working to bring the fire under control. As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown. Authorities are expected to conduct an investigation to determine what led to the outbreak.
The incident has raised concerns over fire safety measures in industrial zones. Business owners are urged to ensure adequate fire prevention systems to avoid such devastating losses in the future.
