A 24-year-old driver, Rishabh Aneja from Juhu, lost control of his speeding BMW and crashed into the side railing while overtaking another vehicle. The impact caused severe damage to the car, but no injuries were reported.
Driver Booked for Rash Driving
The Worli police have registered a case against Aneja under multiple sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 and the Motor Vehicles Act, including reckless driving and endangering public safety.
Accident Caught on Camera
The viral video shows the BMW aggressively overtaking a vehicle before suddenly changing lanes and crashing into the barrier. Police cited overspeeding, reckless overtaking, and sudden braking as the main reasons for the crash.
The authorities are taking strict action as such incidents pose a serious threat to road safety.
