Health Department launches a cleanliness drive under Swachh Survekshan 2024

Pimpri, March 6, 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is prioritizing both cleanliness and the creative beautification of public spaces. To address waste disposal issues at Goodwill Chowk on Hutatma Vijay Salaskar Marg in Bhosari, the civic body has transformed the area through aesthetic enhancements. The PCMC Health Department spearheaded this initiative.

Located in Ward No. 20 under the ‘H’ regional office, Goodwill Chowk had turned into a waste-prone zone. Health department workers cleaned the space and creatively repurposed discarded materials like tires, broken pipes, plastic bottles, and stones to beautify it. The painted stones and innovative design have made the area visually appealing, drawing positive responses from residents.

Meanwhile, Swachh Survekshan 2024 is ongoing in Pimpri Chinchwad, with the municipal corporation striving for top rankings. Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate, Health Department Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar and other officials are actively working towards the city’s cleanliness goals.
