Shocking! Pune Man Caught for Obscene Acts on Public Bus
A 41-year-old man has been arrested by Rajgad Police for engaging in obscene acts in front of a young woman on a moving bus. The incident took place two days ago on a Satara to Pune bus. Following the woman’s complaint, police acted swiftly and arrested the accused.
According to police, the young woman filed a complaint at Rajgad Police Station. She alleged that a fellow passenger was involved in vulgar acts in public while staring at her. The accused has been identified as Kamlesh Pralhad Shirsath, aged 41. He is currently residing in Ambegaon Khurd, Pune, and is originally from Badlapur East, Thane district.
The incident occurred on March 5. The accused boarded the bus at Shirwal stop and sat near the woman. Soon after, he started behaving in an obscene manner while looking at her. Shocked by his actions, the woman immediately informed the police.
The Rajgad Police launched an investigation under the instructions of Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh. Rajgad Police Inspector Rajesh formed a special investigation team and ordered them to track down the accused quickly.
The team checked around 70 to 80 CCTV cameras along the Satara to Pune highway. After a thorough day-and-night search, they successfully identified and detained the accused.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another serious crime involving rape in a Shivshahi bus depot. As a result, this case has caused significant concern. Police have confirmed that they are questioning the accused further.
