Pimpri, March 13, 2025: The Trilok Crematorium near Kalewadi Bridge will remain closed for six months due to renovation work on its diesel-based cremation system

The existing system is being replaced with an eco-friendly gas-based cremation unit, informed Assistant City Engineer (Electrical Department) Sanjay Khabade.

The transition to a gas-based system is aimed at reducing pollution and ensuring a more sustainable alternative to traditional methods. Given the ongoing urbanization and environmental concerns, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has taken this step to promote greener practices.
