Pune, Hinjawadi – A shocking revelation has emerged in the recent fire incident involving a tempo traveler in Hinjawadi. Authorities have confirmed that the fire was not an accident but a deliberate act of sabotage.

The driver, Janardan Hambardikar, has been arrested for orchestrating the incident, which resulted in a massive explosion due to the chemicals inside the vehicle.

Planned Act of Revenge

According to police reports, Hambardikar had ongoing disputes with his colleagues at the company. Daily commuting issues and personal conflicts with fellow employees had led to escalating tensions. Frustrated by these disagreements, Hambardikar allegedly planned the fire as an act of revenge.

On the day of the incident, he reportedly ignited a matchstick, triggering a chemical explosion. Before the blast, Hambardikar had already exited the vehicle, ensuring his safety while causing maximum damage. Investigators believe his primary intention was to target specific coworkers with whom he had conflicts.

Ongoing Investigation

Police investigations have revealed that the driver had meticulously planned the crime. The day before the incident, he brought a chemical called benzene into the bus and also stored cleaning rags used for wiping toner. As the bus neared Hinjewadi, he struck a matchstick and set the rags on fire. The presence of benzene caused the fire to spread rapidly, resulting in a devastating blaze.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gaikwad disclosed these details during a press conference, confirming that the accused has confessed to the crime.

This disturbing incident highlights the extreme consequences of personal disputes, raising concerns over workplace conflicts and their potential dangers.
