Pune, 19 March – A devastating fire broke out in a minibus in Pune’s Hinjewadi area today morning around 8am, claiming the lives of four people. The incident occurred on the Phase-2 road, opposite Dassault System, causing panic in the area.

According to Senior Police Inspector Kanhaiya Thorat of Hinjewadi Police Station, three of the victims were trapped inside the burning Tempo Traveler and died on the spot. The fourth person succumbed to injuries later. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation.

Fire brigade teams and police officials rushed to the scene to douse the flames and manage the situation. Traffic in the area has been disrupted due to the accident.

In this incident, four people lost their lives, while several others were injured. Among the injured, the driver’s condition is critical. There were a total of 12 workers on the bus. It has now been revealed that the employees who died in the fire were from Vyom Graphics Company.

“Earlier today, a bus fire incident led to multiple casualties and injuries. Six patients were brought to Ruby Hall Clinic Hinjawadi for emergency medical care. Among them, two individuals have sustained over 40% burns and are in critical condition, one has suffered 20% burns, and another with 5% burns remains unconscious. One patient with minor burns is stable. Tragically, five individuals were declared deceased at the site.

Our medical team is providing the highest level of care and intervention to the injured. In such emergencies, immediate and specialized treatment is crucial.
We extend our support to the families of the victims and urge everyone to remain vigilant about fire safety measures to prevent such incidents.”
