Pune: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) held an important meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, under the chairmanship of Joint Commissioner Dr. Deepti Suryavanshi-Patil. The meeting included hoarding owners and associations, discussing issues such as obtaining proper permissions for unauthorized hoardings, immediate removal of hazardous hoardings, and concerns raised by the associations.

The meeting was conducted under the guidance of Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Deepak Singla, and Superintendent of Police & Vigilance Officer Amol Tambe. Also present were Deputy Collector Pramod Kudale, Tehsildars Ravindra Ranjane and Sachin Maske, Assistant Town Planner Rahul Gite, Branch Engineers Vishnu Awhad, Ruturaj Sonawane, Deepti Ghuse, and Vishal Bhore. From the hoarding association, President Prakash Jamdade and Vice President Shekhar Mate were among the key attendees.

Key Directives Issued During the Meeting:

  • Hazardous hoardings in crowded and high-traffic areas must be removed immediately.
  • Unauthorized hoardings on major roads, including Hinjewadi, Haveli, Wagholi, Manjri, Pune-Satara Road, and Pune-Solapur Road, should be taken down.
  • A list of all permitted hoardings must be submitted to the office by April 8, 2025. Any hoardings not included in this list will be deemed unauthorized and removed.
  • No new hoardings should be installed without proper permission, or they will face immediate removal.
  • Multiple hoardings on a single structure are prohibited.
  • In case of accidents caused by hoardings, the owner, advertiser, and property owner will be held responsible.
  • Strict action will be taken against any violations of these regulations.

PMRDA has emphasized the need for compliance with these directives to ensure public safety and maintain order in the city’s outdoor advertising sector.
