Pune: A heartwarming incident at Pune Railway Station highlighted the vigilance and dedication of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) when a three-year-old girl, who had been separated from her parents, was safely reunited with them.

The station, which sees a surge in travelers during summer vacations, became the scene of an emotional rescue when RPF officer Santosh Jaibhaye spotted a distressed child alone on Platform 1. 

The girl, identified as Gyanvi, appeared scared and tearful amid the bustling crowd. Acting swiftly, Jaibhaye picked her up and conducted an extensive search across all six platforms to locate her family.

After 30 minutes of dedicated effort, he successfully found Gyanvi’s parents, who were overwhelmed with relief and gratitude upon seeing their daughter safe.

The incident gained attention after Hemant Rasane, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Kasba Peth, shared a video of the rescue on Instagram. In his post, he praised Jaibhaye’s quick response, stating, “A missing daughter was reunited with her family thanks to the vigilance of RPF jawan Santosh Jaibhaye. Salute to his diligence.”

This heartwarming incident underscores the importance of alertness in crowded public spaces and showcases the dedication of security personnel in ensuring passenger safety.

 The RPF officer’s prompt and compassionate response has won widespread appreciation, reaffirming that acts of kindness and responsibility continue to thrive even in the busiest environments.
