The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced revisions in the syllabus for select subjects in Classes 11 and 12, effective from the 2024–25 academic session. The updated syllabus is now available on the official CISCE website (www.cisce.org) under the ‘Library (Publications)’ section.

According to the Council, the Class 12 syllabus has been revised for the 2025 ISC board examinations in several major subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Commerce, Accounts, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Legal Studies. The syllabus for other subjects remains unchanged.

For Class 11 students, changes have been made in the syllabus for Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and History, applicable for the 2024–25 academic year.

CISCE has directed all school heads to communicate the revised syllabus to students, teachers, and parents to facilitate effective academic planning and preparation.

Meanwhile, the ICSE Class 10 board exams concluded on March 27, while the ISC Class 12 exams ended on April 5. The results for both will be declared in May 2025 and can be accessed exclusively on the CISCE website.

This year, the Council has also introduced a significant policy change, allowing both ICSE and ISC students to appear for improvement exams in up to two subjects within the same academic year. Additionally, compartment exams for Class 10 have been discontinued from the 2024 board cycle.

In the previous year, the ICSE Class 10 exams concluded on March 28, and the ISC Class 12 exams on April 3, with results declared on May 6.
