Shatrughan (Bapu) Kate Sports Academy Organizes Open Roller Skating Competition 2025 in Pimple Saudagar
Pimple Saudagar, April 6, 2025: An Open Roller Skating Competition – 2025 was organized today at Shiv Chhatrapati Kridangan, Pimple Saudagar, by Shatrughan (Bapu) Kate Sports Academy, on the occasion of MLA Shankar Jagtap’s birthday.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of MLA Shankar Jagtap. Over 500 young skaters between the ages of 5 and 14 participated in the competition. The top five positions were secured by Dream Club, Shreesha Skating Club, LJ Skating Club, Sai Skating Club, and World Peace School, Alandi, who were honored with trophies and certificates.
Roller skating, a sport known for enhancing flexibility and agility, is gaining popularity among children. It not only brings joy but also promotes physical fitness. Skating strengthens muscles, improves joint health, and offers a full-body workout, making it an ideal summer activity for kids.
Addressing the gathering, Former Corporator Shatrughan (Bapu) Kate said, “Skating is more than a recreational activity—it offers multiple health benefits. Participating in skating helps maintain fitness, improves balance, cardiovascular health, and boosts mental well-being. However, safety must always be a priority, with proper protective gear and adherence to rink rules.”
The event saw the presence of BJP District Executive President Shatrughan (Bapu) Kate, Bhanudas Kate Patil, Manoj Brahmankar, Rajesh Patil, Supriya Patil, Ashok Varkar Kaka, Pravin Kunjir, Balkrishna Parghale, Sambhaji Magar, Deepak Gangurde, Shantanu Prabhune, Sushil Bhatia, Nitesh Jagtap, Sanket Chondhe, Sunny Barne, Prasad Kasapte, and other dignitaries.
