MPSC Success: Hingoli’s Aniket Kokre Rises from Daily Wages to Civil Judge with 26th Rank
Hingoli’s Aniket Kokre, 28, has cracked the MPSC Civil Judge Examination 2022 in his very first attempt, securing the 26th rank. The results were announced on March 29 this year.
Coming from a farming family in Kalamnuri taluka, Kokre grew up with limited resources. His family owned just 1.5 acres of land, fully dependent on monsoon rains.
“My mother worked on daily wages to support my education. That inspired me to study hard and make my parents proud,” he said.
Kokre studied at Akhada Balapur ZP School and later pursued LLB and LLM at Narayanrao Chavan Law College, Nanded. During college, he worked part-time at a legal firm in Hingoli, but irregular pay forced him to take up summer jobs. For four months every year, he worked as a daily wager at Waluj MIDC in Aurangabad, handling medical equipment. The money went towards college fees, books, and accommodation.
After completing his LLM in 2021, he moved to Pune to prepare for the MPSC exam at Ganesh Shirsat Academy. “My day started at 6 am and ended at 11 pm. I focused on quality study hours,” he said. During the Mains exam phase, he could not afford books, but friends helped with resources and meals.
The exam process began with the 2023 prelims, followed by the Mains in 2024 and the final interview in March 2025.
Kokre credits his success to his family, teachers, and friends. He now hopes to serve as a civil judge by next year. “I want to focus on accountability, transparency, and reducing case pendency using technology,” he said. His journey stands as a motivation for aspirants from rural areas facing similar challenges.
