Pune News: Maharashtra State Govt Forms Expert Panel To Review BDP, Hilltop and Hill Slope Guidelines
Pune – A special study group has been formed by the state government to examine the guidelines concerning Biodiversity Parks (BDP), hilltops, and hill slopes, which are governed by differing rules under the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
Minister of State for Urban Development, Madhuri Misal, who took the initiative, announced that the committee will be led by former IAS officer Ramanath Zha.
Due to varying regulations and differing opinions from landowners, the government felt the need to set up a dedicated panel to assess the situation.
“The committee will evaluate public suggestions and objections. It will also conduct ground inspections to determine whether the reservations have been implemented as intended,” Misal said.
The group will review both private and government-owned lands that fall under the reservation categories.
