Pimpri, May 30, 2025 – Ahead of Bakri Eid, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh chaired a coordination meeting to ensure seamless arrangements for the festival. He directed all department heads and staff to work in sync and ensure that no lapses occur in the services provided during the celebrations.

Commissioner Singh also appealed to citizens to cooperate with the administration, recognizing the significance of Bakri Eid.

The meeting was held at the Late Mayor Madhukar Pawale Auditorium in the PCMC headquarters in Pimpri, and included officials from the municipal administration, police department, and representatives of various community organizations.

Among those present were Additional Commissioners Vijaykumar Khorate and Trupti Sandbhor, Chief Engineer Sanjay Kulkarni, Assistant City Engineers Devanna Gattuwar, Ajay Suryavanshi, and Nitin Deshmukh, Deputy Commissioners Sandeep Khot and Sachin Pawar, Chief Security Officer Uday Jarande, Special Officer Kiran Gaikwad, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Arun Dagade, Executive Engineers Harvinder Bansal, Prerna Sinkar, Sunildatt Narote, and B.P. Lande.

Also in attendance were Assistant Police Commissioner Sachin Hire, Senior Police Inspectors Ashok Kadlag and Ganesh Jamdar, and community leaders including Rafiq Qureshi, Ghafoor Qureshi, Yusuf Qureshi, Wahid Qureshi, Hamid Qureshi, Mubeen Shabbir Qureshi, Shadab Faiyyaz Qureshi, and Shakeel Qureshi, among others.

Commissioner Singh instructed departments to ensure adequate water supply, manpower, sanitation, and waste disposal systems at temporary Qurbani (animal sacrifice) sites. The police department emphasized the importance of following all government-mandated guidelines during the festival.
