Pune Airport Sets Record With 140 Tonnes Of Cargo Handled In 24 Hours
Pune: The air cargo operations at Pune Airport have achieved a record milestone with a total cargo movement of 140 tonnes within just 24 hours, marking the highest ever in a single day.
According to the airport authorities, more than 72 tonnes of inbound cargo and over 71 tonnes of outbound cargo were recorded during this period.
The data covers the timeframe from 6 AM on June 3, 2025, to 6 AM on June 4, 2025. Specifically, the airport received 72,726 kg (72.73 metric tonnes) of inbound cargo, while 71,236 kg (71.24 metric tonnes) of cargo was dispatched.
Pune Airport has witnessed consistent growth in air cargo movement in recent weeks. This surge is proving beneficial for local industries and traders by enhancing their access to global markets and contributing to the city’s economic progress.
Officials suggest that cargo operations are expected to rise even further in the near future.
