Three Indian Breakfasts Named Among World’s Top 50 by Taste Atlas
Three popular Indian breakfast dishes have been included in the list of the Top 50 Best Breakfasts in the World, shared by the global food guide Taste Atlas in June 2025.
Misal Pav from Maharashtra was ranked 18th, making it the highest Indian entry. Paratha came in at 23rd, and Chole Bhature, a Delhi favourite, was placed 32nd.
Taste Atlas described Misal Pav as a spicy and colourful dish with a crunchy texture. It is one of the most loved breakfast items in Maharashtra.
Paratha and Chole Bhature are well-known in North India but are enjoyed in many parts of the country. Parathas are often stuffed and served with curd or pickles. Chole Bhature is a popular street food dish, especially in Delhi.
More Indian dishes like Nihari, Shrikhand, and Palak Paneer were also included in the list from 51 to 100. Earlier, Indian breads had also been featured in Taste Atlas’ list of the world’s best breads.
This shows how Indian food is becoming more popular and appreciated around the world.
