The video, posted by Instagram page patlancha_ninad, shows the youth hanging from a circular ledge of the fort with nothing but a deep valley below him. He is even seen doing pull-up, like moves mid-air, while his legs dangle over the drop.
The breathtaking view of lush green hills and the valley in the background contrasts sharply with the heart-stopping risk the young man is taking not just with his own life but with a priceless part of Maharashtra’s heritage.
Social Media Backlash
The video has ignited a wave of criticism from conservationists, trekkers, and citizens alike. Many condemned the youth’s actions for potentially damaging the fort’s fragile architecture, already vulnerable due to age and exposure.
One user commented, “Such children tarnish Maharashtra’s name.”
