Pune News: Chicken Feather Found In Food At Hinjawadi’s Arabian Mandi; FDA Complaint Filed
Pune, July 18, 2025: The issue of unhygienic conditions at Arabian Mandi Hotel on Marunji Road, Hinjawadi, has come to the fore after a shocking incident. Adv Pradeep Naik, Pimpri-Chinchwad City General Secretary of the Legal Cell of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, filed a written complaint with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over the lack of cleanliness and expressed outrage after discovering a chicken feather in his plate.
On July 16, around 8:30 PM, Naik visited Arabian Mandi for dinner and was met with mismanagement right from the entrance. He noted there was no parking facility, the dining area was dirty, handwashing arrangements were unhygienic, and tables and chairs were stained with oil marks. According to his complaint, everything from the washroom to the food was of poor quality and lacked cleanliness.
The most shocking moment came when Naik found a chicken feather in his plate while eating Nizam Chicken Kebab. On confronting the manager, he was advised to remain quiet and even told not to pay the bill to avoid further issues. However, Naik insisted on paying the bill himself and paid ₹482.
He has demanded immediate action and the cancellation of the hotel’s food license, stressing that such unhygienic practices pose serious health risks and can lead to the spread of diseases, endangering public safety.
Locals are now keenly watching whether the authorities will take strict action against Arabian Mandi following this complaint.
