Kalyan – A young female receptionist was brutally assaulted at a private clinic in Kalyan’s Nandivli area after a verbal dispute with a visitor over a minor waiting issue. The shocking incident, which took place inside the clinic, was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral, sparking public outrage.
According to police, the accused, identified as Gopal Jha, had come to meet a doctor as a medical representative. When the receptionist informed him that the doctor was currently with another patient and requested him to wait, Jha allegedly lost his temper.
The CCTV footage shows the man kicking the woman, dragging her by the hair, and repeatedly punching her in full public view. Clinic staff and bystanders rushed to intervene, but not before the woman sustained serious injuries.
Manpada Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused, who fled the scene immediately after the assault. The victim is currently recovering from her injuries.
Authorities have assured strict action, while the incident has triggered widespread condemnation and raised fresh concerns about the safety of frontline staff in private healthcare facilities.
