Pune: PMC Intensifies Crackdown On Illegal Hoardings, Removes 24 Across Multiple City Zones
Pune, July 25, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has intensified its campaign against unauthorized hoardings across the city, successfully removing 24 illegal hoardings since July 19.
According to Additional Municipal Commissioner Prithviraj BP, the civic body had identified a total of 88 illegal hoardings in various parts of the city. “We launched the removal drive on July 19 and have already cleared 24 hoardings. The action will continue in a phased manner,” he stated.
The removed hoardings were located in key areas such as Ahmednagar Road, Wadgaonsheri, Yerwada-Kalas-Dhanori, Wanwadi-Ramtekdi, and Hadapsar-Mundhwa, falling under different regional ward office jurisdictions.
The PMC has reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating all unauthorized hoardings in the city and warned of strict action against violators. The ongoing drive is part of a broader effort to maintain urban aesthetics and ensure compliance with advertising regulations.
