Pune: PMC Reviews Road Widening and Terminal Work Near Hadapsar Railway Station
Pune, July 25, 2025: On Wednesday Additional Municipal Commissioner (Special) Omprakash Diwate of Pune Municipal Corporation conducted a detailed inspection of the stretch from Mundhwa Tadigutta Chowk to Hadapsar Railway Station, including the existing and proposed road alignments on both the northern and southern sides of the station.
During the inspection, the Commissioner reviewed structures belonging to property owners falling within the road widening zone, as well as ongoing construction of the railway terminal that lies within the designated road plan area.
He instructed that notices be issued to remove any structures obstructing the widening project and emphasized the need for coordinated action and land acquisition to take possession of affected areas.
The inspection also included a review of ongoing Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects on the southern side of Hadapsar Railway Station. Orders were issued to expedite the completion of these works.
Present during the site visit were Additional Municipal Commissioner (Special) Omprakash Divate, Chief Road Engineer Aniruddha Pawaskar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Padmasingh Jadhav, and Railway CPM/GSV Sanjay Lavatre.
