Milind Kulkarni fainted moments after sipping water post workout; CCTV footage captures incident
A 37-year-old man, Milind Kulkarni, died suddenly after collapsing at a gym in Pune’s Pimpri-Chinchwad area on Thursday morning. The incident, which took place at Nitrro Gym in Chinchwad, was captured on the gym’s CCTV cameras.

According to eyewitnesses and CCTV footage, Kulkarni had just finished his workout and was seen sipping water from his bottle. Moments later, he turned and suddenly collapsed. Fellow gym-goers immediately rushed him to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCMH), but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Initial medical reports suggest a heart attack as the likely cause of death. Kulkarni, whose wife is reportedly a doctor, had been a regular at the gym for the past six months.
While heart attacks are commonly associated with older adults, doctors and health experts have been raising alarms over the rising incidence of cardiac events among younger people, particularly those in their 30s and 40s. Lifestyle factors, undiagnosed heart conditions, intense physical exertion, and stress are among the suspected contributors.
Kulkarni’s sudden death has once again drawn attention to the need for routine cardiac screenings, especially for individuals who engage in strenuous physical activities, regardless of age.
