Viral News: Bone Allegedly Found in Vegetarian Thali Sparks Outrage — CCTV Footage Reveals Shocking Truth
A controversy broke out at a well-known biryani restaurant in Gorakhpur after a customer claimed to have found a piece of bone in a vegetarian thali. The incident, which occurred at a popular eatery located in the city’s busy Shastri Chowk area, quickly went viral on social media, drawing public outrage and sparking debates around food safety and religious sentiments.
The video of the alleged incident spread rapidly online, with many expressing anger over the supposed lapse — especially given that it happened during the holy month of Shravan, a time when many devout Hindus strictly follow a vegetarian diet. Emotions ran high both at the restaurant and across digital platforms, leading to growing pressure on the establishment.

What Really Happened?
According to staff members, on the night of July 31, a group of 12 to 13 diners arrived at the restaurant. Some among them ordered vegetarian dishes, while others opted for non-vegetarian meals. Food was served as per their requests.
However, moments later, chaos broke out when one individual from the group loudly claimed that a bone had been found in a vegetarian biryani. Tensions rose quickly, with some customers accusing the restaurant of disrespecting religious beliefs during a sacred time of year. The disturbance intensified to the point that police had to be called in to manage the situation.
In their statement to the authorities, the restaurant owners clarified that vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are prepared in separate kitchens with strict hygiene protocols. They questioned how a bone could have ended up in a veg thali unless it was deliberately placed there. They also alleged that the entire incident may have been staged as a tactic to avoid paying the bill.
A few days after the incident, in an effort to clear their name and restore their reputation, the restaurant owners closely examined CCTV footage from the night in question. What they discovered was both unexpected and disheartening.
According to them, the video clearly shows a young man from the group taking a bone from his non-vegetarian plate and discreetly placing it into another person’s vegetarian thali. This shocking revelation not only vindicated the restaurant but also raised questions about the motives behind the public outcry.
Reacting to the footage, the restaurant owners said, “It’s clear that this was not an accident — it was done with intent to harm our reputation. We’ve been serving our community for years, always respecting our customers’ faith and dietary choices. Spreading such false claims doesn’t just hurt our business; it also threatens the communal harmony we work hard to maintain every day.”
