Crown Worship Ceremony Held for World’s Tallest Statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri-Chinchwad, August 6 – The crown worship (mukut poojan) ceremony of the Statue of HinduBhushan, a towering 140-foot statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, was held with great fervor in the Moshi-Borhadewadi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad. The event drew hundreds of Shiv-Shambhu devotees, as chants of “Jai Shivaji, Jai Shambhuraje” echoed through the locality.

Conceived by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge, the project is nearing completion and is poised to become the world’s tallest full-body statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The statue stands atop a 40-foot pedestal, making the total structure 180 feet tall. It is being developed as a symbol of bravery, sacrifice, and inspiration for future generations.

The statue was crafted in a specialized workshop in Delhi and is currently being assembled at the site in Moshi. According to MLA Landge, the final stages of the pedestal and structural assembly are underway, with close supervision to ensure timely completion.

Alongside the main statue, the site will also feature:

  • Statues of 16 Maratha sardars and mavlas
  • An open-air theatre
  • Bronze murals depicting historical scenes
  • A holographic presentation hall narrating the life and valor of Sambhaji Maharaj

Speaking at the ceremony, MLA Mahesh Landge said,

“The story of Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj’s unmatched courage and sacrifice will reach every citizen through this statue. It’s not just a monument; it’s a symbol of national pride and cultural heritage for Pimpri-Chinchwad and all Shiv-Shambhu devotees across the country.”

He further added that the statue will serve as a beacon of history and culture, enhancing the city’s identity and drawing tourists and history enthusiasts from far and wide.

With work progressing at a steady pace, the Statue of HinduBhushan has already become a point of pride and attraction in the region, drawing attention from across Maharashtra.
