Actor Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Stabbed To Death Over Parking Dispute In Delhi; Two Arrested
New Delhi, August 8, 2025: In a tragic incident in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area, Asif Qureshi, cousin of Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi, was fatally stabbed following a confrontation over a parking issue late Thursday night. Police have arrested two individuals—Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18)—and recovered the weapon used in the crime.
The altercation began around 10 PM, when Asif reportedly asked two men not to block his house entrance by parking their scooter outside. The request quickly escalated into a heated exchange. According to Shaheen Asif Qureshi, Asif’s wife, “My husband politely asked them to move their vehicle. They abused him and warned they would return.”
Minutes later, the two accused allegedly returned with a sharp weapon and stabbed Asif multiple times. Despite being rushed to the National Heart Institute in East of Kailash, he was declared brought dead by doctors. Shaheen revealed, “By the time my brother-in-law Javed arrived, Asif had already lost too much blood.”
Shaheen also alleged that this was not the first time the attackers had threatened her husband, hinting at previous attempts on his life.
Saleem Qureshi, father of Huma Qureshi, expressed deep sorrow over the incident. “It was a simple request not to block the entrance. Instead, they killed my nephew,” he said.
Delhi Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to murder. The case remains under active investigation.
