Pune, August 10, 2025 – The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in several parts of Maharashtra today, with a Yellow Alert issued for 15 districts, including Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Beed, Latur, and Nanded. The alert covers large parts of Marathwada and western Maharashtra, where downpours are expected to intensify over the next two days.

According to the IMD, the active cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea is likely to bring heavy rain to Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa between August 14 and 16. While the intensity of rainfall across the state is expected to slightly decrease over the next three days, it will gradually increase again towards mid-August.

    Light rain is also expected in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Jalgaon.
