Some dreams never fade, they simply wait for the right moment to rise. For Pranita Prasad Salunke, that moment came after years of climbing the corporate ladder.

As a child, Pranita was always drawn to creativity. She loved playing with colours, noticing details in clothes, and helping her family plan events. “I dreamt of becoming a creative professional who could build, design, and make things come alive,” she said. That spark stayed with her, even when life took her down a different road.

Instead of entering the creative world, she found herself in banking. It was a stable, high-pressure career filled with structure, discipline, and clear outcomes. And she did well. But over time, something started to feel off. “My years in banking taught me discipline, precision, and strategy. But somewhere along the way, I realized my soul belonged to design.”

The Turning Point

The shift didn’t happen overnight. It came from a quiet observation that turned into a powerful realisation. Pranita noticed how many Indian men were traveling abroad to get custom suits stitched in the UK, Italy, or Hong Kong. “I realized that there is a dearth and absolute shortage of luxury and bespoke formals in India.”

This gap sparked an idea, and awakened a long-buried dream. She began researching, revisiting old sketches, studying the work of British fashion houses, and slowly building a vision. That vision would become Armour Bespoke, a brand where design meets precision, and where Indian men could finally access true luxury tailoring at home.

Leaving Comfort Behind

Starting Armour Bespoke meant walking away from the comfort of a secure salary and a well-established career. It was a big step into the unknown. “I was stepping out of the comfort and security of a salaried job, walking away from an established career in banking that had taken years to build. And I was moving toward the complete unknown,a startup in luxury fashion, with no formal background in the industry, no safety net, and minimal capital.”

There were moments of doubt. “Will people take me seriously? Can I turn this passion into a business? Will I be able to sustain it month after month?” But she kept going. “Dreams don’t demand perfection, they demand persistence. And I held on to that truth.”

Why Menswear?

For Pranita, choosing menswear was both a strategic and emotional decision. She saw a clear gap. Most Indian men relied on ready-made clothing or local tailors, there was little understanding of what true bespoke meant.

“There’s a lack of awareness about what bespoke truly means, it’s not just about measurements, but about individuality, about craftsmanship and storytelling,” she said. “Why should Indian men have to go abroad to get their bespoke suits or wedding attire?”

Through Armour Bespoke, she brought together India’s rich textile heritage with the precision of global tailoring, offering a world-class experience for grooms, professionals, and style-conscious men.

One of her most memorable moments was helping an NRI groom who landed in India just two weeks before his wedding. He needed a full tuxedo and bandhgala, tailored to perfection, and delivered in under 14 days.

“He received his garments 24 hours before the wedding, spotless, immaculate, and perfectly tailored,” she shared. “Guests remarked on how the tuxedo exuded effortless confidence and fit like a second skin.”

The Road Ahead

Looking back, Pranita says the biggest lesson is clear, “Clarity of purpose makes the risk worth it.” To anyone stuck between a safe career and a dream, she has one message: “Security can be comforting, but purpose is transformative. If your heart keeps returning to the same dream, pay attention. Prepare, plan, and when you’re ready, leap.”

With Armour Bespoke, she’s proving you can honour both structure and soul, and that dreams, no matter how long they wait, are always worth chasing.
